Linwood, Belfast, Sydenham and ourselves will be fighting it out for the Championship semi-finals this weekend and every one of those four teams wants the top position. It's up to your pride and your desire now as to if Keith will be in the final next week.
Keith has had a very successful year in 2008, so let's not let ourselves down by not being mentally prepared and focussed on the task at hand, which is to beat the Bollocks and hopefully play those dirty Belfast

boys and rub their noses in it. Or the equally dirtySydenham boys and rub their noses in it as well. Either one suits me to be honest. Not that i'll be there to see.
So have a reasonably quiet Friday night, and get to the game on time. Yes, that means you Lars.

There is an extra training run scheduled for Tuesday 29th July at 6-00pm. This will be an indoor training session held at Kirkwood Intermediate School Hall, 260 Riccarton Rd, Upper Riccarton. Gym shoes or eqivalent are a requirement. Do not be late.

There is regular training on Thursday at 6-00pm at South Hagley as usual. As the team for Saturday has been decided, but not yet announced, all Keiths will be expected to attend both training nights. Phil also informs us that no matter what the

weather, the game will be held, so start preparing yourselves mentally and things will fall into place rather nicely.

Don't forget, this Friday is the bit of a get together at the club. There will be music and beer and food and lots of people to tell lies to about your rugby prowess. Let's make it a good night to remember.

You might be hearing those and a few more of the old saying in the next week or two. Especially on the evening of Friday 1st August. To help prepare for the game the next day at Lancaster Park/AMI Stadium, Keith is hosting a few drinks at the HSOB RFC from 6-30pm. There will be the naming of the Keith Legends Team from the last 30 years, a few yarns and old stories, guest speaker Tane Norton and the Linwood Bollocks will also be in

attendance.
There will be beers and a dead animal on a spit and plenty of banter. If you have any Keith memorabilia you'd like to share please bring it along, with any Old Cove you happen to pass along the way.

watch Canterbury vs Manawatu at 2-35pm. Phil Hughes will be allocating tickets so please contact him as soon as possible.
After our game, we will be staying to watch the Canterbury vs Manawatu match and then back on the bus returning to the HSOB RFC clubrooms.
