Player of the Day - Phil Hughes

1st Half
An inaupsicious kick off from Chilli and then more of the same from the rest of the boys. Burnside had lots of early posession, but kept losing it in silly forward passes, untill they eventually kept it in hand to score first.
An off centre throw at a handy position gave burnside some relief from Keith pressure.
Former Keith (Muffin) caused a bit of carnage by rolling over everybody (and offering them something to eat).
A kicking duel proved ineffective by both sides at this time. But everyone is still warmiing up. Burnside's mouths let them down and got them marched 10 metres. Some unlucky quick hands let Burnside score again against the run of play.
Revvy gave a Captains run, Eddie gave a New Boy run and Chilli ran like a softballer. Good ball snaffling skills by Uli and the boys started to settle down and keep hold of the ball at the 20 minute period. The settling down period was still settling at the 25 minute mark.
Ref saying 'let it go' + Keiths 'letting it go' = Penalty to Burnside. Jafa took up eating Muffins. Brad taking good ball at their throw. Heat getting to a few of the boys. Good forward movement after nice kicks from the backs. Momentary confusion as to where the ball was, but it turned out all right. Another Burnside knock on saved another try at the whistle.

2nd Half
Slow start to half with patience being a virtue. Penalties seem to be coming Burnsides way with regularity. Hands from a new boy let us down at critical time allowing opposition to score. Pressure pressure pressure from the forwards ultimately led to Kerry scoring on debut. Jugs to come, but not Chilli's conversion.
Burnside putting on good attack pressure while Revvy and Unit were having a 'conversation' off the field with a couple of Burnside boys. Disclipline from Burnside was lacking and costing them penalties.
Oscar showed in his 2nd outing this season that he's up to the task, even out of position. The ref evened the score by marching us 10 metres and errant hands could have cost us dearly.
Gus went down rather heavily and got carted off in the mini ambulance to get ministrations from a zambuk.
Pressure created room for Unit to score (disallowed) and Brad stormed over to dot down only to have trhe ref knocked over and again disallowing the try. Unit along with Trouty barged their way through for an end of play try of which Chilli slotted nicely from the side.
So endeth the game.
