Player of the Day - Chris DOBSON

1st Half
Slow but solid start, punctuated by knock ons. From both sides. Play went backwards and forwards with the Dream Team maulting well to score a good forward try.
Keiths proved a bit keen on breaking from the scrum early getting the resultant penalty against us. The flying Wedge moveed the Dream Team up to 2 tries early on.
A good strong Keith comeback but Dream Team pressure held. The fat boys from Dream Team found the gaps and put pressure on the line again. and eventually went over one more time. A lovely run by Jafa with equally lovely hands by Casey followed by an even more lovely penalty goal from Chilli.
Dream Team as expected took advantage of the gabs in our defence and wee jafa took advantage of a penalty to take a breather. Phil K recoverying well from interferrence from Police Officers in the lineout.

Try saving tackle from Darryl but sunsequent play saw a forward ball (as Boner pointed out to the ref) go over for 5 points. Johnny N moved into the forwards taking the hits well as we've come to expect. Johnny Teear from Dream Team suddenly burst through our lines passing to his brother and former Keith Michael Teear who crossed the line again.
Lovely kick down the sidelijne from Chilli, but Phils throw in was a bit errant.
This was followed by another beautiful sideline kick, this time from Johnny Bravo. Bones was making sure the ref knew all the rules. Drivi9ng rolling mauls from the Dream Team proved their grading level as Division Four. Unit surprised us all by not dropping a quick throw which led to a kick and a run and a chase by Casey who scored int he corner right on half time.

2nd Half
Johnny Bravostarted as we intended, but good intentions often go astray. Backwards and forwards again like the first half. More lovely hands by Chilli, but a not so lovely kick.
Kris took a great intercept from the Dream Team 22 kick off and took everyone unawares as he ran for the try line. Pressure again let Dream Team go over the line once more.
Another sneaky intercept, this time from Chilli who dotted down in the corner. A little bit of argybargy distracted enough of us to let Dream Team score right back in the corner. And things started to loose their focus.

I think this video says it all for this passage of play.
The ref seemed to forget the lostr forward aspect of the rules of play. While Dream Team were trying to pick another fight, they scored once more. We don't seem to learn from our mistakes. Mistakes followed mistakes during this half interspersed with momentary good periods of play. Which is not how you keep posession and score points. Although, the second half was a great improvement on the first.
