1st Half
An upfront early error by new boy Casey got the boys to settle down and relax a bit. But the ref seemed more than willing to stamp his mark. Beautiful run by Chilli and a great off load to new boy Scott to score on debut. Twice in two weeks. It's becomming a habit.
Strong running by Jafa who proves that size doesn't matter. Unlucky hands by Phil in the lineout. Strong useful defence by Linwood surely stopped a good forward try. Kearnsys was throwing well into the lineout. Linwood were getting good pressure on the scrums and at general play at this stage.
Chilli was using the wind well, but , as always, the wind will move the ball where ever it wants. Solid forward movement by Linwood backs proved too much for Scott and Johnny, but the wind proved too strong their first conversion to go over.
A quick kick and a run chase by Scott unfortunately let Linwood score again. Then came penalty after penalty against us.
Excellent hands and skills from Linwood showed gaps in our defence. 50 metres later in 50 seconds and we're defending our line again. A forward pass only saved another Linwood try.
Still giving away penalties which let Linwood, after a good drive and dive, score again. A rolling maul going backwards is not a good look, and neither was the kick int he head on Donk which Boner took exception too. The ref said Boner took a swing first, and as a result, spent 10 in the bin.
Scott and Jafa showed their skills and penalties started coming our way. A unsighted ref let a possible Linwood try go for lack of evidence.

2nd Half
The Poacher got caught by the stupid forward pass rules. More good pressure from Linwood on the line. Linwood scored the first try in the new half giving them a 17 point lead.
Darryl let slip another high ball by Linwood did the same in response to Scotty's kick. Ref blind to Linwood forward passes. Darryl then took a good high (pressure) ball and passed onto Chilli who burst through the line until a high tackle cut him down.
Boner was feeling the pace and had to come off tired. Play stagnated on the 22 for ages until Linwood tried to burst through. Good scrum resulted in penalty from errors on the Linwood side.
Fitness plays a big part in this still early game of the season. More good solid pressure from Linwood got them their 5th try. Casey and Peter showed their strength in the tackles but the wind was still playing havoc with the ball the air.
Casey was tackling well, Chilli was picking upp the ball well and Jafa covering ground well. But the steady pressure always always shows through in the score. More points to Linwood. Getting bored writing down the score now.
