YOU WANT A GO? YOU WANT A FUCKING GO? I'LL GIVE YOU A FUCKING GO MATE. FUCKING RUN AT ME.
Yet another perfect canterbury winters day to take it to a Division 4 team. Especially this particular Division 4 team who Sonny Phil single handedly beat in the final two years ago; so I'm picking they wanted pay back. Ask Uli and Piez what pay back feels like. Much like several punches to the jaw I would imagine.

With a lot of injuries and illnesses effecting the squad numbers, some players were out of position (A.J. was way out of his comfort zone in the forwards) and some players had to soldier on due to subs not being readily available. Thanks to George from the Colts for lending a hand.

We didn't quite play like shit in the first half, but we certainly did not play well. A lack of direction and basic rugby skills seemed to elude us even with some players as usual making it look easy. Of course, it would have been easier if we understood what was going on in the mind of our volunteer referee, but playing rugby is easier than mind reading.

The second half came and fresh legs gave us a boost, with two great tries from the Irish pushing us to within spittin' distance of the lead, but we just couldn't put the moves together to break through just one more time. Even though we lost, the second half effort was a tremendous boost and is bringing the team together.

It was also good to see Andy looking well after last weeks episode with hospital nurses giving him a rub down.

Next week, irrespective of playing at dirty old Sheldon Park or not, we need a full crew at training on Thursday and on Saturday.
