IF YOU READ THIS IN TROUTY'S VOICE, IT'LL SOUND MORE AUTHOURATIVE

To the casual rugby observer, it would be easy to say, because of the score, that we coughed it, or were not on the ball or were over prepared. It would indeed be easy to say that if it were true. What is true is the simple fact that we didn't score enough points to win the game. Shall we blame the kickers? No. Shall we blame the skittery backs for not scoring tries as they're paid to do? No. Shall we blame the coach for not having the exact precise game plan for this articular opposition? No. What I think happened is we were thinking too much about the final and not enough about the game right in front of us that would guarantee a home ground final. Rugby is, as always, a mental game.

There is, of course, the physical aspect of the game and we had many moments that were a joy to watch. Poacher of course; Lars slicing his way through tackles; Col, Baz, Freddie and Chief tackling their hearts out; Goober taking opposition ball; Webby controlling the ball from the back of the scrum and Mark and Daz controlling the scrum from the front.
Yes there were errors and mistakes, but there was plenty to remain positive about and we should remember that in two weeks time.

Special mention needs to go to Webby who celebrated his 150th Keith game and to Colin who somehow managed to get to 50. Both well deserved achievements.

Naturally I talk a lot of bollocks so don't believe everything I say.
