THE ONE IN WHICH BREEN CLAIMS TO HAVE SCORED

Winter is coming. And so is Dirk's 200th. He'll be wanting the exact same line up as today.
It was only a mere 12 years ago that a skinny nervous black haired boy dropped and fumbled the ball while standing out on the wing trying to figure out where he'd gone so terribly wrong in his life to warrant being in the Keiths. Congratuations Dirk on 100 games and 1 try.

There's something about New Boys that makes me want to get my rope belt out again. The quality and character of this year's crop is nothing short of first class. Steve, who had a serious life threatening case of man flu, came and got stripped and yelled his lung out. Ryan who supplied his own shorts quietly blew the opposition front row into the ground. Ross and Ross showed determination and guts whenever it was required and gentlemanly conduct at all other times. Plus, Sam was everywhere, man. Sam was everywhere. Once we all get to know each other better, the better we'll be.

Colin hates being shown up, so to counter Paddy's dislocated finger he decided he'd go one better and make his poke holes in his skin.

AJ and Ross came off with bloody faces in sympathy, but otherwise it was a good clean game.
Special notice must be given to the ref who got over his need to have a wee cry and be sent flowers, although, I'd much prefer he read a rule book.

Winning this game was not only good or our statistics it was equally as good, if not better, for our morale, in which a trip to Keasty's for lots of beers lies and big screen rugby was the ideal end to an almost perfect day.
