LET'S SCRAPE TOGETHER A TEAM AT THE LAST MINUTE AND PROVE TO THOSE LAZY BASTARDS IN THEIR ONESIES AS THEY LAY ALL TOGETHER IN A FURRY HEAP IN FRONT OF THE FIRE DRINKING HOT CHOCOLATE AND GROOMING THEMSELVES WITH GLITTERY COMBS THAT WE CAN FUCKING WIN THIS!!

What a fucking shitty day to be playing rugby at Shit Hole Park. It was only slightly raining which is far worse than absolutely pissing down but I don't know anyone who can placate the weather gods, so we have to live with it.

Injuries cost us players right when we didn't have players to lose, but those that were there got visibly turgid and kept us in the game.
And what a game. We came out (figuratively not literally) with a bang and started the scoring quite early on with two penalties but that was all the first half had to offer. We seemed to be not quite jelling together as a unit and any individual burst forward was stopped by some wayward hands doing things they shouldn't. But on the positive, there wasn't anything you could actually say we were doing wrong because we were winning and Belfast weren't.
The second half started and Chester got his confidence on, A.J. got his dreads flying, Cormac got the whitest legs in Christendom dirty, Bravo got his speed on and Kev looked like he'd rather be somewhere comfy and warm instead of being thrown about the place in tackles.
Belfast, however, got the wind up them and kept us out after sustained attempts at the line and used their momentum to outscore us three tries to one.
All in all, considering the lack of depth and the conditions, we had a reasonable game.
