Have you registered?

All aspects of game day information reporting are now done electronically and part of that means if you haven't registered then your name won't be on the team list and our results can't be submitted.

You should have had an email from Jamie Livingstone with a link to your details if you completed a form in a previous season.
If you deleted that email or are new to the team and club, please use the appropriate link below to register.

   DOMESTIC SAFETY LAW VARIATION - MOUTHGUARDS

2018 will see a stronger stance on the non wearing of mouthguards in New Zealand domestic competitions. The Domestic Safety Law Variation (DSLV) relating to this has been amended as follows:

1st player observed not wearing mouthguard = Yellow Card.
At this time the referee is to speak to the offender’s team captain and advise that any further players observed not wearing a mouthguard will be issued a red card.
The player yellow carded can return to the field of play upon expiry of the 10 minute (2 minutes in Sevens) Temporary Suspension period, but only if the player is wearing a mouth guard.
If the offending player is unable to return wearing a mouth guard, then that player can be replaced.
This will be deemed to be a permanent replacement and the offending player will not be permitted to return to the field of play under any circumstances.

2nd and subsequent player/s (from same team) observed not wearing a mouthguard = Red Card.
Players who receive a Red Card for this infringement will receive an automatic one (1) week suspension.
This will apply for preseason games as well as competition games.

There's been changes within Keith starting at the top and it's going to affect everybody, so read on and inwardly digest.

COACHES
Coaches for 2018 are Mr Bevan WEBB who will set the direction of the team's training and on field play. He will have the responsibility for the forwards.
Mr Ross SINCLAIR will be coaching also with fitness being his bailiwick and the backs his focus.
They both expect you to listen to their directions and to follow the game plan, because you've reached adulthood now.

MANAGERS
Mr Phillip KEARNS has been appointed the Keith Manager with Mr Philip HUGHES as his able and willing glamorous assistant.
Phillip is new to the trials and tribulations of keeping tabs on everything, but Philip has done the job before and knows where the bodies are buried. Mr John McKEAGE will be providing support where necessary as he knows where the bodies of the people who buried the first bodies are buried.

FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
With the balls up last year of our finances behind us, Mr Steven JONES has been appointed as the one who goes to prison first when the audit is completed. He will try to take his tea lady, Mr Kristen CURRIE down with him, but he knows too many judges to ever let it get that far.
When they take your subs, it won't be obligatory to kick them in the balls. Just a pleasant option.

TEAM SUBSCRIPTION
The subs for 2018 are the same as they've been for the last 40 years and are confirmed as $100 per player.
Your subs provide team gear and club membership with the added bonus of being able to have some liquid refreshments after the game to rehydrate.
PAYMENT IS DUE BY THE FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON (7th April)

CLUB MEMBERSHIP / NZRFU REGISTRATION
Those who have been to the clubrooms before know that things don't pay for themselves. Your team subs help ensure the clubrooms remain for our use. Respect the hard work others have done making our rugby home as good as it can be.

Those who have completed an online NZRFU registration before should have received an email with instructions to register again if playing in 2018. The club RDO is responsible for getting that info out to you.
Players new to the club and team can fill in the form here to register as a player for Keith/HSOB.

TRAINING
Training is getting a shake-up from the new coaches. You'll love the results that some medium work will bring.
Location - Bob Deans Fields at North Hagley Park
Day and Time - Wednesday commencing at 6-30pm
Training will commence Wednesday 21st February after North Hagley Touch finishes.
After training, refreshments will be available at the Bush Inn with Keasty.


As you have just read, big changes for Keith. Embrace them. Absorb them. Follow them.

Details on things such as 5 Nations, team gear and other Keithliness will be posted and announced in due course.

Keith is deeply saddened to learn of the death of Breanna Lattimore, daughter of Andrew (Crack) & Di Lattimore in a tragic drowning at Mauria Falls on Saturday afternoon.

All Keiths are thinking of Andrew and Di and her Uncle Russel and the entire Lattimore family in this awful time.
