You might be hearing those and a few more of the old saying in the next week or two. Especially on the evening of Friday 1st August. To help prepare for the game the next day at Lancaster Park/AMI Stadium, Keith is hosting a few drinks at the HSOB RFC from 6-30pm. There will be the naming of the Keith Legends Team from the last 30 years, a few yarns and old stories, guest speaker Tane Norton and the Linwood Bollocks will also be in

attendance.
There will be beers and a dead animal on a spit and plenty of banter. If you have any Keith memorabilia you'd like to share please bring it along, with any Old Cove you happen to pass along the way.

Sumner are always a good hard team to play against, as they're one of the few teams that bring the game to us. And as usual, it was close and hard fought with neither team wanting to give way. Surprisingly, there was no rough stuff as some teams are want to do so the young (very) ref had an easy game of it too.
The slippery and wet ball and ground conditions made it difficult for Poodle to slot his kicks and for the nippy wingers to finish off storming runs, but we managed to hold them out until the very end.
With the business end of the season now upon us, there are going to be some tough coaching selections as everyone who gets on the paddock is playing their hearts out. Unfortunately with a squad as large as ours, some will not get as much game time as they would like, but it's good to see spirit and heart on the sideline still.

I'm never sure which I prefer the least. Travelling to Shithole Park in Belfast, or going anywhere near Hoon Hay. Oh well, as Suburbs aren't in our grade this season, Belfast wins that one. And that's all they won.
By jolly jingo, what a close game it all was. On the scoreboard anyway. Other parts of the game Belfast had it over us, and other parts we had it over them, but being so simliar, as we are, each of our strengths and weaknesses cancelled each

other out.
Some decisions from the young ref that went our way made it easier to remain in front, but it was a wake up call for many, especially those less experienced in Classics rugby, that flashy running is not always better than the cunning old fox holding the ball in play.
Keith corner at the clubrooms were empty with many going to the test at Lancaster Park, so let's make next weeks showing at the clubrooms a full house. And show that creepy midget who used to be in the team we are here to stay and mean business.

"They're not listening to me! Stop fighting you boys right now! I mean it. Ok. You asked for it. I'm going home right now or else." Jesus ref, grow some cahones.
This was a game we really didn't want to lose. Not just for the competition points on offer and the placing for the second round, but simply because it's Burnside. Who at times have been mistaken for Shirley (Wankers). But this season they seem to have grown older and wiser and just want to play

some footy. Isn't that what the Classics grade is all about?
Anyways, we started with a hiss and a roar, but finished rather slower. Our defense was good (mostly) and our attack was good (mostly) and the sideline support was good (mostly) and the beers were cold afterwards. Mostly.
Blah blah blah everyone played well and we all love each other and we didn't miss Muncher at all (Pies paid me to say that). But seriously folks, a top effort with, as in a team game, no outstanding individual ummm standing out.
